Key Responsibilities
* Assist physicians with medical procedures, including phlebotomy, laboratory testing, and quality control
* Perform laboratory blood work, including blood draws and specimen handling
* Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation
* Send outside labs to appropriate facilities as dictated by patient insurance plans
* Maintain test report logs, quality control logs, equipment records, and checklists according to regulatory agencies
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* BLS certification required
* Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
* One year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician's office, with ability to perform venipuncture
