Diesel Bus Mechanic in Albany NY

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Bus Mechanic to join our team in Albany, NY. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in motor coaches and trucks.
• Service and maintain all types of engines.
• Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance (PMs) and repairs on diesel engines.
• Repair and replace brakes, steering, engines, and electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to test and repair vehicles.
• Maintain detailed records of services and repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ years' experience with diesel vehicles.
• Own your own tools and have reliable transportation to get to and from the shop(s).
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skilled with tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Assist parts department in researching and ordering needed parts.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to learn.
