Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within the engineering team, focusing on product support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the critical maintenance of all building systems, including mechanical (HVAC, chillers, plumbing), electrical (UPS, generators, switchgear), fire detection, life safety, lighting, and digital systems.
  • Managing lifecycle and modernization projects for critical systems from inception to completion, including budgeting, planning, coordinating, and executing project documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices in all data center facility work.
  • Developing and maintaining operating and emergency procedures, along with policies governing data center operations.
  • Serving as an escalation contact during on-call rotations for critical incidents.
  • Recommending improvements to enhance safety, stability, security, efficiency, and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in critical MEP system operations and maintenance.
  • Continuous professional development and technical proficiency in your area of expertise.
  • Staying informed about new and evolving technologies.
  • Strong domain knowledge regarding Target's technology capabilities and competitor products.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to internal teams and external partners.
  • Understanding and applying best practices, standards, policies, and procedures effectively.
  • Proficiency in core development platforms relevant to your domain.
  • Fostering team commitment to support corporate and team objectives.
  • Recognizing the impact of your work on the team and guests.

Work Environment:

This role requires on-site reporting and performance of job duties at a Target headquarters location.
