Bakery Merchandiser

The Bakery Merchandiser is a key role in bringing the Bakery Director's vision to life within each Bakery Department at Plum Market.

This role involves modeling and providing exceptional customer service, delivering quality feedback and support to all Bakery teams, and assisting with various departmental tasks as needed.

1. Provide exceptional service to customers, creating a welcoming environment where every voice is heard.
2. Create displays, audit, and re-merchandise the Bakery Department according to the Bakery Director's direction.
3. Perform data entry for products, descriptions, and pricing.
4. Execute tasks as defined by the Bakery Director.
5. Teach Team Members about the variety of selections and offer merchandising suggestions.
6. Learn and communicate what sets Plum Market apart from competitors.
7. Effectively follow up and communicate with all Team Members, Store Operations, and the Plum Market Support group.
8. Support Team Members in the department to help them learn and grow.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and efficiency.
• Competence in delegating tasks and seeking help or guidance when needed.
• Skill in training Team Members on Plum Market's customer service and bakery standards.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for up to four hours without a break, work alongside the team, and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and pushing/pulling carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
