Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients with complex medical conditions
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Coordinate clinical responsibilities to distribute workload among team members
  • Assume responsibility for the training and development of professional clinical dietetics staff
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare personnel to coordinate nutritional aspects of patient care
  • Utilize the Nutrition Care Process to document in the medical record
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and performance monitoring
  • Conduct physical assessments on patients and identify nutrition diagnosis and intervention for malnutrition
  • Develop and implement system-wide nutrition-related events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Maintains a specialty certification from an approved nutrition-related area or has a Master's degree in Nutrition, or Dietetics, or related field
  • Three years of experience as a dietitian in a clinical setting
  • Licensed as a dietitian in the State of Georgia
  • Competent in basic computer skills, including diet management software
