About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Counselor to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Financial Counselor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial well-being of our patients and the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benefit Education and Validation: Provide face-to-face review of inpatient benefits, authorization, and collection of inpatient, observation, and outpatient liabilities.
  • Patient Liability Assessment: Assess patient insurance and financial information to determine liability and collect estimated patient liability.
  • Collection and Follow-up: Work with patients to collect payments, send letters detailing estimated liability and payment options, and make follow-up phone calls to patients unable to make payment.
  • Registration and Pre-Registration: Complete pre-registration and registration tasks, including registration of patients at the time of service or prior to the date of service.
  • Process Improvement: Monitor missed collection opportunities and make recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED: Required
  • CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative): Required within 6 months of hire
  • 1+ years of customer service experience: Preferred
