Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional service needed and provide estimates of time required for repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
  • Previous experience at an automotive dealership.
  • Strong understanding of the service drive.
  • Years of experience vary per position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer competencies.
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Salary

$17-$40 an hour, depending on experience.
