Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals to our patients, staff, and visitors.

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold foods according to recipes and proper food handling techniques.
• Portion and serve food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other culinary staff to ensure seamless food service operations.

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• ServSafe Certification by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation preferred.
• Experience in institutional cooking, with a focus on short-order cooking.
