Education and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in physical science from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program. Additionally, you should be certified or eligible for certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Board of Education and Licensure. A minimum of two years recent experience in cardiac thoracic surgery and/or surgery is required.

You will be expected to demonstrate competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position. You will also be responsible for working in a hospital environment that may expose you to hazards, including infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and potential injury.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $83,400 - $120,000, based on national averages and industry standards.
