Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Midas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Use state-of-the-art computer systems to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including tires, brakes, suspension, and engine problems.
  • Tire and Wheel Services: Repair and replace tires, wheels, and related components.
  • Brake and Suspension Services: Inspect, repair, and replace brake systems, suspension components, and steering systems.
  • Engine and Cooling Services: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engine and cooling systems, including oil changes, radiator repairs, and engine tune-ups.
  • Electrical and Electronics Services: Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems, including batteries, starters, and alternators.
  • Exhaust and Emissions Services: Inspect, repair, and replace exhaust systems, mufflers, and emissions control components.
  • Visual Safety and Courtesy Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential safety issues and recommend necessary repairs.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including brakes, suspension, engine, and electrical systems.
  • Certifications: State-specific auto repair certifications, such as PA State Safety & Emissions Licenses.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus.
  • Tools and Equipment: Own tools and equipment, including diagnostic scanners and tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

$25.00 per hour
