Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Leasing Consultant to join our team at Jones Street Residential. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents, overseeing the entire leasing process, and driving occupancy and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sales and communication strategies to enhance resident satisfaction and drive leasing goals
  • Provide detailed information about our apartments and community to prospective residents, scheduling site tours and conducting thorough property presentations
  • Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to resident move-in, maintaining open communication throughout the tenancy
  • Collect and process all necessary documentation, including security deposits and rent payments
  • Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring compliance with qualification, screening, and acceptance procedures
  • Optimize occupancy by analyzing market trends, implementing competitive pricing strategies, and maintaining effective lease rent and closing ratio goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect, traffic, and leasing data in our database
  • Stay informed about market competition, prepare monthly competitive survey reports, and analyze real estate market trends in the area
  • Respond to resident concerns and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining a positive resident experience
  • Support the overall marketing efforts, providing input and suggestions on promotions, advertisements, and community events
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of community policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of sales experience in a retail, hospitality, or multifamily environment
  • Proficient computer and software skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Trustworthy and reliable, with sensitivity to confidential matters
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
  • Neat appearance and professional attire
  • Experience with Yardi highly preferred
