**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center.

The ideal candidate will have experience with ventilator management, critical care therapy, and pulmonary function testing.

This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory care principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine therapies in Respiratory Care such as eZPRAP, aerosol, oxygen, and chest physiotherapy treatments.
  • Set up and monitor continuous ventilators in accordance with physician orders.
  • Conduct bedside pulmonary function exams and complete pulmonary function exams to determine therapeutic needs.
  • Recommend therapeutic changes based on diagnostic equipment data collected.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to review therapies and modify treatment pathways as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) credential.
  • BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in all aspects of respiratory care, preferably adult critical care.
  • Eligible for and maintain Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
