Job Summary

As a Construction Observer, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality of work, testing procedures, and construction techniques on various projects. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor quality of work, testing procedures, and construction techniques
  • Inspect materials and maintain compliance with approved plans and specifications
  • Read and understand construction plans, specifications, and maps
  • Point out potential problems to the contractor and project engineer
  • Keep project engineer and supervisor informed of progress
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, coworkers, and contractors
Requirements
  • Valid Colorado driver license and clean driving record
  • Experience in heavy civil roadway and bridge construction field observation/inspection
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and maps
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
