Wound Care Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse in our Wound Care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to those with wound, ostomy, and HBO needs. Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, you will communicate effectively to ensure seamless care delivery. Your expertise will be essential in planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with chronic wounds, ostomies, and hyperbaric conditions.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Director, you will be responsible for managing patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and adhering to department and hospital policies. Your ability to work autonomously and make sound judgments will be crucial in providing exceptional patient outcomes. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state of California, a valid BLS Card for healthcare providers, and the ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. You will also need to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System. Preferred qualifications include wound care experience and certification, as well as knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
