Plumbing Specialist

Amentum is seeking a skilled Plumber to support our contract in Suitland, MD. As a Plumber, you will work independently to perform construction and maintenance actions on plumbing equipment and systems at our customer's Government site.

• Install and repair pipes and fixtures, and clear clogged drains.
• Install vents and traps in the plumbing system, adhering to required codes.
• Utilize appropriate plumbing and shop tools.
• Work from preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist outside contractors, as required, with knowledge of facilities, operations, and utilities.
• Cut openings in floors and walls to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• Cut and thread pipe.
• Bend pipe as required.
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
• Perform other job-related work as assigned.
• Check systems for leaks.
• Direct other repair personnel, as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of experience as a plumber or completion of a certified apprenticeship program.
• MD journeyman plumber license a plus.
• Certification in backflow prevention.
• Must undergo a government background investigation to determine suitability for badging at the site.
• Possess a state-issued driver's license.
