About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Motor Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance motors and electromagnetic devices for various industries, including aerospace, military, and oil and gas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop brushless DC, stepper, and AC induction motors, as well as actuators and mechanisms
  • Support the development of new products and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical requirements
  • Lead new product development (NPD) programs and drive technical risk assessment
  • Investigate product anomalies and optimize design using simulation background
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with motor design using ANSYS Maxwell, MotorCAD, or similar software
  • AC/DC motor design experience
  • Full lifecycle experience from customer specifications to production
  • New product development (NPD) experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing resolvers and electromagnetic devices
  • SolidWorks expertise
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in aerospace and/or defense industries
