Your Role
At Stantec Consulting International Ltd., we are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in sediment remediation. You will lead high-stakes projects focused on contaminated sediment in various aquatic environments, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive assessments, feasibility studies, and remedial designs for intricate sediment sites.
- Conduct work in compliance with regulatory frameworks such as CERCLA and USACE.
- Oversee environmental sampling programs, ensuring data quality and relevance for project objectives.
- Develop and refine conceptual site models and evaluate remedial options through feasibility studies.
- Implement innovative solutions for sediment remediation and engage in ongoing client and regulatory communications.
- Prepare detailed remedial design plans and oversee construction management and quality assurance activities.
- Lead and mentor junior staff and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Participate in business development initiatives to expand our project portfolio and client relationships.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or regulatory roles.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and the ability to handle physical tasks related to fieldwork.
- Professional certifications such as PE or PG are preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
