Job Summary: As a Licensed Vocational Nurse with Pipeline Health System, LLC, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our subacute setting. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will carry out the established plan of care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing your observation, planning, and implementation skills to ensure the performance of direct care activities.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications under the scope of practice
- Perform treatments and gather data on assigned patients
- Contribute to an individualized plan of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Provide patient education as directed
- Maintain a record of care provided and ensure hygiene and comfort measures are met
Requirements:
- At least one year of prior experience in a department of assignment
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, and PC skills
Education and Licensure:
- Graduate of an Accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nurses
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the licensing/certifying board in the state of employment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) required
