Position OverviewRole Summary:

As an integral member of the surgical team, the Operating Room Technician ensures the smooth and safe execution of surgical interventions.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares the surgical environment by arranging drapes, antiseptic solutions, instruments, and necessary supplies.
  • Maintains the functionality of surgical instruments and equipment. Aids in the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients.
  • Assists the surgeon by passing instruments during procedures, while meticulously tracking the count and placement of instruments and materials throughout the surgery.
  • Handles and processes specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently within the scope of the role. Must thrive in a dynamic environment and respond appropriately to challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent, or military training.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: State registration as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Minimum Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Compensation: The hourly wage for this role is $38.70, contingent upon the applicant's relevant experience.
