Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Analyst to join our team at Public Health Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial systems-related analysis, managing ad-hoc projects and requests, and providing compliance expertise to internal and external parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and analyze budgetary, contracting, procurement, and fiscal data from finance databases for Finance-related reporting.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to manage shared resources for tracking project requests and financial workflows.
- Manage ad-hoc requests related to financial systems from internal or external parties.
- Provide general support of Finance systems; both internal and external.
- Ability to build fiscal reports using data visualization tools.
- Carry out special projects and develop research standards.
Requirements:
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business, computer science, data science, information systems, statistics, or operations research, or a closely related field.
- 2+ years of satisfactory full-time/part-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with large public or private organizations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, OBIEE, and Tableau).
- Advanced understanding of Excel.
- Experience working with SQL databases, with knowledge in constructing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Ability to train staff on data usage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Additional Desired Qualities:
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and project management.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and report complex information.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Desire to grow professionally, develop new skills, and willingness to work outside of comfort zone.
- Experience working with the public health sector and coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
