Job Title: Associate Field Engineer

Job Summary:

NiSource is seeking a highly skilled Associate Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and estimating natural gas distribution facilities for new business, public, and system improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and design natural gas distribution facilities to meet company standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare permit applications and easement requests.
  • Develop detailed drawings and compile capital work order/job order packets.
  • Prepare budget estimates and report on project variances.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to Construction and Field Operations staff.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on large distribution projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • EIT certification within 2 years of hire date.
  • P.E. license within 6 years of hire date for states primarily working in.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license.
