About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a culture of excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to state and organizational policies.
  • Serve as a patient safety advocate, participating in quality improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Delegate tasks and functions to team members, considering their competency and scope of practice.
  • Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, including assessment and discharge instructions.
  • Assess patient conditions before, during, and after surgery to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgical team, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the state of practice or compact.
  • BLS certification (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).
  • ACLS certification (preferred).
  • PALS certification (preferred).
  • CNOR certification (preferred).
  • SGNA certification (preferred).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
  • 2 years of critical care experience (preferred).
  • Completion of OR internship program (preferred).
