About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team in the Vascular Surgery Step-Down Unit at Brigham & Women's Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients recovering from vascular surgery procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Lead and manage the nursing team, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and open communication.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient-centered care principles.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Current registration in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least 18 months of experience in BWH nursing, with a preference for vascular and/or cardiovascular nursing experience.
  • Ability to work weekend rotations, as per the MNA contract.
