Job Summary

The Connecticut State Colleges and Universities is seeking a highly qualified Advanced Manufacturing Technology Machining Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching courses in advanced manufacturing technology, including precision machining and fabrication training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver instruction in advanced manufacturing technology, including precision machining and fabrication training.
  • Prepare course materials, syllabi, and instruction outlines to address the learning needs of assigned students.
  • Deliver instruction that results in progressive student learning.
  • Accurately record and report student performance.
  • Assist in the design, development, and oversight of advanced manufacturing associate degree and certificate programs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) from a public comprehensive high school or vocational technical high school.
  • Ten (10) or more years of manufacturing technology industry experience.
  • Or, a five (5) or more years of manufacturing technology industry experience and a CSCU community college advance manufacturing technology certificate or nationally recognized credential.
  • Advanced Manufacturing Technology Associate's Degree and five (5) or more years of manufacturing technology industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional competence in the assigned advanced manufacturing subject disciplines.
  • Academic and practical instruction techniques and methodologies.
  • Student testing and evaluation.
