  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support pathologists in the gross examination, dissection, and documentation of surgical specimens, ensuring accurate identification and record-keeping.
    • Conduct macroscopic dissection of surgical specimens, including intricate and varied cases, following established protocols and guidelines.
    • Prepare tissue samples for histological processing, ensuring correct orientation and marking.
    • Execute frozen section preparation and analysis as required during intraoperative consultations.
    • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of specimen examinations, observations, and diagnostic results.
    • Assist in the training and oversight of pathology residents, medical students, and other healthcare staff in specimen handling practices.
    • Oversee and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies necessary for specimen processing and analysis.
    • Comply with laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
