Job Overview

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator with a strong background in mechanical assembly to collaborate with a leading client in the machining sector.

Position Summary

Compensation: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: Monday – Friday; 6am to 2:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday; 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate various machining processes as specified by job instructions, including deburring, assembly, sawing, cutoff, and packaging.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by promptly reporting any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.
  • Initiate machine operations and monitor performance displays to identify any operational issues.
  • Document and determine machine setups for each component as necessary.
  • Stop machines to change cutting tools and adjust setups in accordance with machining sequences or to verify parts against blueprint specifications.
  • Make necessary edits and adjustments to ensure parts are produced according to work orders, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, and sketches effectively.
  • Inspect work for dimensional accuracy and ensure production meets quality and quantity standards as per company guidelines.
  • Complete all required paperwork related to counts, scrap, and time accurately, in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in new setups.
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Preferred experience in manual machining.
