Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at High Point Regional Hospital - Allied and Outpatient. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis and treatment
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and images
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for specific units
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for all RN candidates
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) certification required
  • Tech Cert Verification - National: applicable to be uploaded
  • State License 1 Verification required
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification required for Behavioral Health
  • NIH Stroke Certification required for certain units
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required as specified
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required
  • Competency Exam required
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam strongly encouraged for certain specialties
  • Orientation Training Documentation required for Allied and Outpatient travelers
Work Schedule
  • Night shift MR position 7p-7a
  • Day shift 7a-7p
  • 3-12 hr shifts
  • On call every 5th Sunday and holidays
Additional Requirements
  • Required to be sent with file: NC DL must list address greater than 50 miles from facility
  • Driver's license must match the state of an RN's compact licensure
  • Alternate proof of residency will not be accepted
  • Facilities in this association are strict on Drivers License/State ID requirements
