Portfolio Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our Systematic Credit Team at Teza Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing our Systematic Credit Portfolio, leveraging your expertise in credit markets and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the development of our Systematic Credit Portfolio, utilizing your knowledge of credit markets and risk management techniques.
  • Manage a systematic market-neutral portfolio of IG and/or HY positions, ensuring optimal returns and minimizing risk.
  • Collaborate with the credit team to enhance the investment and research process, applying your understanding of market technicals and credit fundamentals.
  • Design and implement execution algorithms using internal and external software, optimizing portfolio performance and reducing risk.
Basic Requirements:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience with risk-taking responsibilities, including portfolio management and risk analysis.
  • Deep understanding of credit markets, including fundamentals, technicals, and risk management strategies.
  • Expertise in over-the-counter trading of credit markets, including IG and HY positions.
  • Thorough understanding of risk in credit space and factors that influence credit portfolio performance.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with different groups, including research, technology, and operations, and with colleagues of varying experience levels.
  • High attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.

The anticipated salary for this role, tailored to the New York market, lies between $150,000 and $250,000. When finalizing the total compensation package, we take into account previous experience and skills the candidate brings to the position.
