Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Medical ICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, utilizing knowledge, skill, and judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient/family/staff education, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Implement safe practices in all aspects of patient care and activities, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge and standards of professional nursing practices, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in critical care nursing.
- Assume shift charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, leading by example and promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
- Make patient care assignments based on skill, experience, and acuity of the patient, ensuring that each patient receives individualized and compassionate care.
- Direct and precept staff as needed/assigned, fostering a culture of mentorship and growth.
- Participate in quality process improvements in the department, contributing to the development of innovative solutions and best practices.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working with electronic medical records systems.
