Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority invites applications for the position of Engineering Project Lead. This senior-level role will oversee the management of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, requiring a strong background in project management practices, techniques, and methodologies.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have seven years of progressive experience in engineering, with a proven track record of managing stand-alone water and wastewater projects. They must be able to demonstrate advanced technical knowledge in at least one of the following disciplines: water/wastewater treatment, complex hydraulic control structures with movable gate systems, electrical and control systems, and/or complex water transmission systems.

A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with a civil, electrical, water resources, or environmental emphasis is required for this position. A valid Texas Driver's License and a Licensed Texas Professional Engineer registration are also necessary.

The salary range for this role is $95,169.00 - $158,615.00 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and execute detailed conceptual designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Apply engineering principles and practices to provide engineering direction and recommendations, leading project teams to ensure successful and timely project completion.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor progress, and identify options and alternatives to mitigate risks and exposure.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including permitting agencies, executive management, staff, consultants, vendors, and government agencies.
