Job Overview

Position Summary
This role involves managing the dispatch of gasket and bolt shipments, which includes selecting and packaging orders. The position requires operating machinery such as forklifts, saws, and gasket production equipment. Additionally, it entails receiving incoming stock and organizing it in specified locations while maintaining a tidy workspace. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and ship gaskets as per customer requests.
  • Select and package orders for outgoing shipments.
  • Handle inbound transfers and manage freight deliveries.
  • Organize stock in designated shelving and keep daily inventory records.
  • Execute daily tasks related to gaskets and stud bolts as required by clients.
  • Assemble shipping boxes and track staged boxes awaiting shipment.
  • Load outgoing freight onto trucks.
  • Maintain organization in the Will Call area.
  • Participate in cross-training for all warehouse functions.
  • Monitor propane tank levels and coordinate refills with the supervisor.
  • Verify accuracy of items picked based on specifications before packaging.
  • Palletize larger orders exceeding five boxes.
  • Communicate any shortages of online items to sales.
  • Label each line item with box numbers and ensure accuracy in correspondence.
  • Keep the work environment clean and organized, disposing of packing materials as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to ensure timely delivery of customer orders, including any other warehouse duties not specified above.
Qualifications

Skills

  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a team.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehouse and shipping operations preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, and push/pull.
  • Frequent standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 50 lbs., with the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
