Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment and ice machines, and related equipment in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any potential issues or malfunctions, and proactively address them to prevent downtime and disruptions in service.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, utilizing a range of tools and technical expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform regular cleaning, sanitization, and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and facility managers to understand equipment usage patterns and provide guidance on best practices for equipment operation, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including documentation of performed tasks, parts used, and associated costs.
  • Keep current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and equipment advancements to provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
  • Assist in the procurement of replacement parts, tools, and supplies, and maintain an organized inventory to support efficient repairs and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must have EPA 608 Type Universal
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience is required
