Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee will be tasked with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment.
The Maintenance Specialist must possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, capable of troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment using a laptop.
A minimum of three to five years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is required.The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate across various departments and committed to high standards of work.
Utilize a computer to monitor job statuses and electrical repairs.Inspect and test electrical issues using appropriate instruments and manuals.
Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and electrical circuits.
Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance.
Fabricate and weld components as necessary.
Connect power supply wires to machinery and equipment, following manuals and schematics.
Connect wires to circuit breakers and other components for both high and low voltage.Diagnose issues with equipment such as transformers and motors, replacing damaged wiring as needed.
Employ a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools and testing devices.Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety codes.
Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine wiring locations and ensure adherence to building codes.
Install conduit and wiring as required.Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to identify and rectify issues.
Work from heights to install or repair electrical systems.Advise management on potential hazards related to equipment operation.
Understand and comply with all safety and quality requirements.
Adhere to facility safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum High School diploma/GED
3-5 years of maintenance experience required.
Must pass a skills assessment covering mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Experience with machining and welding is essential.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Basic plumbing skills required.
Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems is necessary.
Strong attendance and work ethic.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Self-motivated with the ability to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
