Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at The Edinburg Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients with serious mental illness.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will assist clients in effectively communicating with medical providers to receive optimal care. Responsibilities include attending medical appointments with clients, medication administration and monitoring, training staff and clients on illness prevention and illness management, and providing consultation to clients, families and staff about medication/medical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend medical appointments with clients to ensure effective communication with medical providers
  • Administer and monitor medications as prescribed
  • Train staff and clients on illness prevention and illness management
  • Provide consultation to clients, families and staff about medication/medical issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Document treatment plans and progress
  • Provide outreach, support, and service coordination to clients
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • At least one year of experience treating persons with serious mental illness required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Substance use disorder treatment, psychosocial rehabilitation, and assertive community treatment experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
