Position Summary:
This role involves delivering medical assistance to healthcare providers in a professional and compassionate manner, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. Responsibilities include managing patient communications and performing clinical tasks such as EKGs and CLIA waived tests.
Work Schedule:
Full-time and PRN positions are available, with a standard weekly commitment of 40 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners in providing patient care.
- Handle patient inquiries and manage office operations.
- Conduct EKGs and perform necessary tests as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- Current BLS certification from an accredited provider.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Licensure Requirements:
LPN: Must possess a diploma from an accredited nursing program and maintain a current nursing license.
Medical Assistant: Certification from an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a physician's office setting.
- Familiarity with EPIC (EMR) and insurance processes.
Physical Demands:
Candidates must be in good physical health, capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and able to lift at least 50 pounds.
