Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nutritionist to join our team at South Shore Health. As a key member of our ambulatory oncology team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing plans of nutritional care for patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group sessions with patients and their families to educate and facilitate maximum nutritional compliance and intervention toward optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain good rapport and effective working relationships with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Assess and evaluate social, financial, environmental, and medical factors impacting nutrition status, and develop nutrition care plans accordingly.
  • Document and communicate nutrition care plans and progress through written and verbal systems.
  • Participate in the development of educational materials and resources for patients and their families.
  • Represent the Department of Nutrition on committees and participate in quality management programs.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Degree with ADA-approved emphasis in science/education.
  • Registered Dietitian with maintenance of required CEUs.
  • Approved Dietetic Internship or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in clinical, educational, and oncological dietetics.
