Position Overview:
The Electrical Power Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in the integration of generation and energy storage solutions within the ERCOT System. This includes overseeing the entire process from the initial application to the final approval for commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the integration of generation and energy storage resources, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining system reliability.
- Conduct security screening studies and review Full Interconnection Study (FIS) reports.
- Collaborate with Market Participants (MPs) and various entities to facilitate smooth interconnection processes.
- Review and approve modeling data and commissioning plans, ensuring all milestones are met.

Collaboration:
Work closely with ERCOT System Operations, Network Model Coordination, and other departments to address issues related to generation interconnection projects.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a power system engineering role or a related field.
- Preferred experience in the electric utility sector and familiarity with power flow analysis software such as Powerworld or PSSE.

Skills:
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret power system study results.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on teamwork.
- Basic programming knowledge in languages such as VBA, SQL, or Python is advantageous.

Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.

Work Environment:
Employees are expected to work on-site a minimum of two days per week, with flexible scheduling options available based on business needs.
