Job Summary

As a Field Engineer Apprentice, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of our diagnostic imaging equipment, driving customer satisfaction, and advancing our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within hospital radiology environments to evaluate and troubleshoot imaging equipment issues, implementing effective repairs and ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on designated equipment, adhering to hospital protocols and GE policies.
  • Conduct safety and environmental inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Document service and repair activities, maintaining accurate records and communicating with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians to develop and implement progressive repairs, enhancing technical knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in quality and compliance training, identifying and reporting customer concerns, and contributing to a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an AS, BS, MS degree, military education, or certificate program, or a High School Diploma/GED with 6 months of experience servicing electronic, IT, or mechanical equipment.
  • Previous experience interpreting schematic diagrams and performing troubleshooting and planned maintenance on basic diagnostic imaging or electronic equipment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience interpreting schematic diagrams and performing effective repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good customer relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
