Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with nursing care of patients, including providing one-on-one observation and maintaining patient safety.
  • Participate in the plan of care for each patient and assist with the maintenance of quality care.
  • Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of the unit and individual patient rooms.
  • Assist in maintaining supply inventory, including inspecting storage areas and reporting deficiencies.
  • Participate in educational programs, including attending in-service programs and unit meetings.
  • Maintain satisfactory communications, including demonstrating clear and accurate lines of communication and maintaining confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Louisiana is required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required.
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in age-specific criteria as applicable to job scope.
Physical Demands

The Certified Nursing Assistant will be required to:

  • Occasionally push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, and sit.
