Maintenance Technician

USCS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Minooka location. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our refrigeration systems and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist telecommunication engineers in the design and analysis of telecommunication networks
- Create plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment
- Ensure network connectivity for end-users
- Evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance
- Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks as assigned
- Conduct routine inspections of all equipment, including refrigeration systems
- Take readings of compressors, evaporators, and receivers
- Use computer control systems for refrigeration equipment
- High School Degree preferred
- Previous warehouse maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of electrical (PLC's relay logic and motor controls), hydraulics, mechanics, and excellent troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics and plumbing
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints preferred but not required

Working ConditionsYou will work in an atmosphere ranging from +50 to -30 degrees F with a moderate noise level. You will be required to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds with assistance on an occasional basis. You will also be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
