Job Overview:

The Residential Reentry Center Supervisor, under the guidance of the Facility Director, is tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the facility while maintaining comprehensive documentation related to the operations of the center. This role is crucial in meeting the needs and welfare of clients, ensuring that the facility is secure and well-maintained. The Supervisor is expected to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and must hold CPR/First Aid certification along with completing all necessary training.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a thorough understanding and adherence to agency policies, procedures, and standards.
  2. Ensure strict accountability at all times.
  3. Conduct regular security checks and client counts.
  4. Oversee visitor sign-in and sign-out procedures.
  5. Enforce facility rules and procedures among clients and visitors.
  6. Perform searches of the facility and client belongings as required, ensuring contraband is not introduced.
  7. Inspect the facility during each shift worked.
  8. Execute emergency drills as directed by the Facility Director.
  9. Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the facility.
  10. Understand and apply Material Safety Data Sheets for hazardous materials.
  11. Be knowledgeable about client programs and status levels.
  12. Conduct urine testing and maintain alcohol surveillance.
  13. Ensure compliance with authorized absences and documentation.
  14. Assist with client intake processes.
  15. Manage resident medication inventory and distribution.
  16. Follow established notification procedures for incidents.
  17. Comply with food and medical service requirements.
  18. Implement pest control measures as needed.
  19. Safeguard client records in accordance with privacy regulations.
  20. Adhere to escape procedures and notify relevant authorities as necessary.
  21. Report any serious client health issues immediately.
  22. Track and manage work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
  23. Maintain accurate records of client admissions and discharges.
  24. Review and submit weekly client rosters and status reports.
  25. Conduct quarterly facility inventory and report findings.
  26. Assist in addressing deficiencies noted in monitoring reports.
  27. Report technical assistance needs to the appropriate office.
  28. Monitor daily client information systems and communicate changes.
  29. Follow protocols for sexual abuse prevention and intervention.
  30. Report any unusual incidents to the designated officer immediately.
  31. Prioritize the safety of clients and staff, using physical force only when absolutely necessary and in accordance with established guidelines.
  32. Support agency initiatives and activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of community resources and services.
  • Understanding of the population served.
  • Proficiency in computer and spreadsheet skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of three years' experience in the Social and Behavioral Science field, or
  • Baccalaureate Degree in a Social or Behavioral Science Program from an accredited institution.

Licenses, Training, and Certification:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proof of Auto Liability Insurance if required.
  • Verification of education and credentials for those with a Baccalaureate degree or higher.
