Job Summary:

The Hanger Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the sales floor is stocked with high-quality merchandise. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, this role is responsible for preparing garments for sale by sorting, hanging, and tagging clothing items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Merchandise Preparation: Sort and inspect clothing donations for quality and condition, ensuring that only high-quality items are presented to customers.
• Visual Merchandising: Hang and tag garments according to Goodwill standards, maintaining a visually appealing and well-organized sales floor.
• Inventory Management: Ensure that clothing racks are well-stocked and that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with donors and shoppers, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
• Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Goodwill's high standards for store appearance and cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry 20+ pounds, with frequent standing and walking required.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills and a positive attitude, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Previous Experience: Previous retail or warehouse experience is a plus, but not required.
