Position Overview

The Patient Account Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of patient account management within Christus Health. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of patient services and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibits proficiency in delivering services tailored to the physical, emotional, educational, and safety needs of the patient population served.
  • Maintains essential core competencies to uphold service standards.
  • Adheres to established Policies and Procedures, including professional appearance and conduct.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with patients, visitors, staff, and medical personnel.
  • Possesses knowledge of insurance requirements, including referrals and billing practices.
  • Understands coding systems such as CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
  • Facilitates claims resolution by communicating effectively with insurance providers.
  • Handles patient payments and assists in clarifying billing inquiries.
  • Performs various administrative tasks, including answering phones and assisting patients at the front desk.
