As a Software Engineer in Test at Dolby, your responsibilities will include evaluating software that propels the next generation of Dolby technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently assess and deliver transformative Dolby Imaging/Video products.
  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and research teams to ensure timely and high-quality product launches.
  • Design and implement new continuous integration, testing infrastructure, and frameworks to support imaging technology advancements across diverse ecosystems and device categories.
  • Evaluate emerging imaging technologies to create superior libraries.
  • Establish and maintain testing environments, tools, and precise documentation.
  • Prototype innovative testing vectors, methodologies, tools, or techniques.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members.
  • Diagnose issues, prepare comprehensive bug reports, and validate bug fixes.
  • Generate and interpret testing metrics, and compile objective testing reports.
  • Engage in reviews for requirements, testing plans, design, and code.
  • Excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Work alongside technical writers to produce technical content for publications.
  • Encourage a positive workplace culture and facilitate effective communication.
  • Represent Dolby professionally at various events and exhibitions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on multimedia/computer vision, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Expertise in computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, and/or video processing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with HDR technologies such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.
  • Experience with C++ programming.
  • Exposure to version control systems like Perforce or Git, and project management tools like Jira.
  • Knowledge of video technologies, cinema, and television production workflows.
  • Experience in agile development teams.
