Openwork is collaborating with a client to fill a critical 3rd Shift Machine Operator position. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to support the production team by ensuring the efficient operation of various machinery during night shift hours. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain straightening, polishing, and drawing equipment.
  • Manage cutting, annealing, coiling, hydro testing, degreasing, and cleaning machinery.
  • Perform welding repairs and adjustments on machinery as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Operate cranes and other heavy manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Maximize production efficiency by monitoring equipment and making necessary adjustments.
  • Safely handle forklifts and other material transport equipment.
  • Load and unload trailers, managing finished products and raw materials.
  • Use micrometers, Vernier calipers, and tape measures to verify precise measurements and ensure product quality.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
  • Welding skills and familiarity with welding equipment are a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and measurements.
  • Experience operating forklifts with a capacity of 15,000 pounds or more.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Willingness and availability to work the 3rd shift (night shift) from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
