Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at our South campus hand therapy clinic. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for medical and post-surgical patients on the Med-Surg and Rehab floor, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Complete thorough and timely documentation and charge entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and other team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Set priorities and maintain knowledge of equipment, expected patient outcomes, and potential complications.
  • Demonstrate competence in performing job duties and adhere to standard precautions to minimize exposure to hazardous risks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • State licensure or eligibility required; National Board Certification of Occupational Therapist preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; obtain within 30 days of hire if not already trained.
Physical Demands:
  • Medium physical demands, exerting 11-51 pounds of force frequently and 10-20 pounds constantly.
  • Constant standing and walking; occasional sitting, climbing, and keyboard/dexterity activities.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and see, smell, hear, feel, and touch.
Environmental Conditions:

High exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, hot, cold, or wet surroundings, outdoor activities, radiation sources, fumes, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Hazards will be minimized by following universal safety procedures and standard precautions.
