Position Overview:

Under the direct oversight of the Administrator, the Facility Cleaning Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping and related operations of the facility, which includes staffing, supply procurement, supervision, and ensuring compliance with facility policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff in the daily operations of assigned areas.
  • Assign tasks and establish priorities.
  • Orient new team members and assist in recruitment and selection processes.
  • Communicate policies and provide guidance and coaching to staff as necessary.
  • Monitor work assignments, offer feedback, assess performance, and implement disciplinary actions when required.
  • Maintain records, manage budgets and supplies, and fulfill responsibilities as the department head.
  • Ensure that equipment and workspaces are clean, safe, and organized; adhere to procedures regarding cleaning agents or hazardous materials; ensure compliance with Universal Precautions and infection control, isolation, fire safety, and sanitation practices; promptly address any hazardous conditions and equipment.
  • Assist with heavy lifting as needed and function as a working supervisor in all areas of responsibility as dictated by the department's budgeted hours and workload.
Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proficient in reading, writing, and effective communication.

• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and families and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

• Capable of maintaining consistent attendance.

• Comply with all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.

• Meet physical and sensory requirements (with or without mechanical assistance).
