We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper I to join our team at Oriental Trading Company. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office and common areas.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain the clean and attractive appearance of the office and common areas, including vacuuming carpets, dusting and wet mopping of hard surface floors, cleaning windows, doors, and other surface areas, emptying trash containers, ceiling and vent cleaning, and dusting of furniture.
- Compliance and Safety: Maintain compliance with OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy work environment through the proper completion of housekeeping duties, and in the use and storage of chemicals and related cleaning implements and supplies.
- Supply Management: Ensure the efficient use of supplies and equipment with a minimum level of waste or breakage, and immediately report all needed repairs.
- Communication: Provide efficient and courteous service, and ensure confidential customer information is protected at all times.
- Teamwork: Abide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and ability to correctly utilize cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies, knowledge of cleaning and safety procedures and OSHA requirements preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, push, squat, bend, and climb stairs for the duration of the shift, and frequently lift and carry 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
