Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician at Elms of Lynchburg, you will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

You will perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

  • HVAC system maintenance
  • Elevator maintenance
  • Fire and sprinkler system maintenance
  • Generator maintenance
  • Landscape maintenance
  • Kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Emergency pull cord equipment maintenance

You will also perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned, and respond to maintenance requests from community directors and residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are well-maintained
  • Complete tasks including but not limited to:
    • Replacing light bulbs
    • Maintaining the grounds
    • Repairing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
    • Cleaning gutters
    • Painting and decorating
  • Work with the Executive Director to create and implement a plan of correction for any maintenance deficiencies
  • Complete routine inspections of life safety systems
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of resident units
  • Coordinate and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
