Position Summary

BAE Systems is seeking a seasoned Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our Information Services team. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continuous enhancement and innovation. The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and overseeing security measures to protect our on-premises networks and systems.
  • Identifying and innovating automation opportunities to promote agile and secure solutions.
  • Collaborating with team leaders and partners to maintain a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Creating and reviewing Cybersecurity documentation.
  • Conducting reviews of access request forms for Cybersecurity compliance.
  • Engaging in system hardening verification processes.
  • Providing Cybersecurity support throughout the change management lifecycle.
  • Gaining proficiency in the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Clearance and Certification Requirements

This role necessitates an active final Secret clearance upon hire, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. A Top Secret clearance is preferred. Candidates must also meet DoD M IAM Level II or higher certification requirements upon hire.

Citizenship Requirement

This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract stipulations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma with 10 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience, or a master's degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, networks, system components, and software development.
  • Experience in building relationships with external customers and communicating cybersecurity concepts to senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • IAM Level III certification (CISSP or equivalent).
  • A solid understanding of computer networks, hardware, databases, and security components.
  • Familiarity with the DoD environment and the DoD Acquisition System.
  • The ability to mediate differing perspectives and foster consensus on cybersecurity principles.
  • A high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and the ability to build trusting relationships.

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive and based on market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.
